Nomex is available in the form of sheets ready for production. Military pilots and aircrews also wear flying clothing from nomex to avoid external heat radiation and other accidents.

So when viewed from the function, the shortcomings and the advantages, first the strength of the jacket still uses asbestos fiber. As technology and chemistry develop, Kevlar is produced to make clothes with impact resistant fabric fibers (racing suits), while Nomex is produced to resist heat radiation. And all types of these materials have a high flame resistance.
